Hi, I’m Hye Bin.
I’m an actor currently based in Toronto!
Drama was a mandatory subject at the school I attended growing up, so that’s where I was bit by the bug! But alas, I was the shyest girl in the class. I could never tell anyone that Drama was my favourite subject and that I wanted to audition for Adelaide in “Guys & Dolls” —not one of the Salvation Army members. I have to give all the credit to my Drama teacher, who noticed the passion inside a quiet little girl and nudged her out of her shell.
Many years later, I am a proud alumna of the William Esper Studio in Manhattan, New York. I continue to study under acting coaches such as Eric Reis and David Newer. I also trained Improv at Upright Citizens Brigade, and Musical Improv at The Second City. Outside of acting, you can find me on the flag football field or cheering for the Seahawks!
As an undergraduate, I earned two Bachelors of Arts degrees from Seoul National University in Seoul, South Korea, one in English Language and Literature and the other in English Language Education.
I love that acting puts me on an endless journey of growth, both in the craft and in the soul. I hope our artistic passions can conspire toward creating work that renders the truths of our humanity.
